Research activities are provided for under the ZCAS Act of 1989 and forms part of the mission statement of the Centre. In order to make this activity more pronounced, a Research and Consultancy department was created to carry out both research and consultancy related activities.

Over the years, the department has been predominantly conducting consultancy related activities other than research. With the prospects of commencing Business degrees and Masters programmes very soon, it is expected that research issues will acquire greater importance.

It is for this reason that the Centre provides some amount in its year’s budget for research activities and provides research guidelines how the activities are be undertaken by staff at the Centre as well as in conjunction with outside professionals.
