ICCS International Certificate in Computer Studies

NCC Eductation logoThe Centre offers the International Certificate in Computer Studies (ICCS) in conjunction with the NCC Education, UK.

ICCS is a six-month Certificate level course aimed at those students looking for a foundation course in Information Technology. It is suitable for any one from school leaver to a mature adult looking to change his or her career.

 
BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information Systems

ZCAS offers a three-year academic framework from Diploma leading to the award of BSc (Hons) in Computing in conjunction with NCC Education, UK and Greenwich University, UK.  The NCC Education is a UK based institution, which provides internationally recognized IT qualification with effective and practical business-oriented skills.  The qualification is aimed at school leavers who wish to acquire a degree from a prestigious UK university.  It is also an ideal qualification for IT professionals looking to update their skills.

Entry Criteria

  • Full time takes a duration of two semesters while part time take three semesters

The final year program (120 Credit points) students need to complete 6 of the 8 modules below and the projects:

PC Hardware and Software 

This course provides an excellent introduction to the IT industry and interactive exposure to personal computers, hardware, and operating systems. Students participate in hands-on activities and lab-based learning to become familiar with various hardware and software components and discover best practices in maintenance and safety.

In addition, PC Hardware and Software covers the following new topics:
  • Laptops and portable devices

  • Safety and environmental issues
  • Communication skills
PC Hardware and Software is divided into two sections. The first section provides foundational knowledge that aligns with the Comp TIA A+ Essentials exam, while the second section explores advanced concepts in greater depth and provides opportunities for practical application

Network Operating Systems

HP IT Essentials: Network Operating Systems, sponsored by Hewlett-Packard Company, is an intensive introduction to networking fundamentals and multi-user/multitasking network operating systems. Characteristics of the Linux and Windows network operating systems will be discussed. Students will explore a variety of topics such as:
