The demand for qualified economic analysts and planners who can contribute to the growth of the Zambian economy has made it necessary to introduce the BEC degree programme. The ZCAS University would like to produce a product that will help to raise the standard of economic analysis and planning in the country and the region.

The aim of this programme is to equip the students with knowledge and skills in order for them to carry out economic analysis and planning effectively.

To qualify for admission to the BEC degree programme an applicant must have any of the following qualifications:

  • Five credits at ‘O’ Level including English and Mathematics
  • At least three ‘A’ level passes including Mathematics or equivalent
  • Any relevant degree from a recognised institution.

DURATION OF STUDY

The programme runs for four years on full time, part time and distance education and not more than five academic years in case of any eventualities or unforeseen circumstances.
